At just 11 years old, Grady was cast in a new feature film directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks. At the time, no one could have imagined it would become one of the most iconic films in cinema history.

Grady played one of the three boys in the now-famous scene where a group of bullies throws rocks at young Forrest and chases him on their bicycles.

The film's extraordinary success has made one small detail much easier to laugh about: in the final credits, Grady is listed simply as "Fat Boy."
